Practice Profile
Jim is a member of our Advocacy & Dispute Resolution, Construction, Labour & Employment, and Media & Entertainment practices. While Jim's civil litigation practice is particularly focused on the defence of architects and engineers and employment law, he also offers general counsel to a number of businesses.
Jim serves on our Executive Committee and chairs our Articling Committee.
Representative Experience
Along with Jim's trial experience, he has participated in multiple mediations involving construction claims of all sizes, from residential to multi-million dollar projects. Jim is counsel to one of the region's largest professional liability insurers, and Canada's largest private broadcaster.
On a Personal Note
Jim has served our community in various capacities over the past many years, including stints as a Board member with Big Brothers & Sisters, the IWK Health Centre Foundation and the Halifax-Dartmouth Transportation Club. He currently serves as the Past Chair of the Board of Sport Nova Scotia.
