Practice Profile
Dillon is a member of our Litigation, Sport, Labour & Employment and Regulatory/Administrative service areas.
Representative Experience
Dillon is a litigation lawyer, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, sport law, employment law, construction law and regulatory / administrative law. He has represented clients before all levels of court and a variety of administrative bodies in Nova Scotia. In the sport law context, Dillon has acted for provincial sport organizations, coaches, athletes, and board members in matters ranging from internal appeals to disciplinary matters, policy and governance issues, judicial review and alternative dispute resolution. Dillon regularly acts as volunteer counsel for the Halifax Refugee Clinic, providing pro-bono representation to refugees. He also provides pro-bono legal services to people with disabilities through ReachAbility and is a volunteer at the Halifax Law Courts Free Legal Clinic.
On a Personal Note
Dillon is a member of the boards of directors of Sport Nova Scotia and is the Vice Chair of the St. Cecilia Concert Society. Dillon is the coach of the Wickwire Holm Runs, a regular competitor in the metro legal slow pitch softball league. Outside of work, Dillon enjoys hiking, cooking and gardening.
