Theresa is a member of our Litigation, Wills & Estates, Real Estate, Municipal, and Bankruptcy / Insolvency services areas.
Theresa has a broad range of experience in civil litigation, including banking and insolvency matters. She also provides advice in probate matters and real estate transactions. Theresa focuses on resolving disputes for her clients in an efficient and well-informed manner. For matters that involve court attendance, she has represented clients at all levels of court in Nova Scotia.
Theresa has volunteered her advocacy skills as a practice competitive moot judge at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
On A Personal Note
Theresa comes from an acting background and, while in law school, she competed in the Trilateral Moot Competition in Portland, Maine. She is the Vice-Chair of The Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section for the Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and serves on the board of directors for the Atlantic Chapter of the Risk Management Association. She is also a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society Professional Standards (Real Estate) Committee. Theresa resides in the HRM with her spouse, James, and their children, Seumas and Mae.
